1. We are Back in APTS again, after a
long trip to Malaysia, Switzerland and Dubai.
a.
Pray for good health. Our bodies
had to adjust to different time zones and climates.
b. Work has been
piling up: final grades for classes taught this year, lesson plans for the new
term, lots of administrative stuff, etc.
c. Pray for Moon Tee as she
leads the Baguio International Chinese Church.
We are having a New Year's Eve
dinner and a watchnight service tonight at our apartment. Some non-Christians
are coming. Pray for their salvation.
2. For Our Funding
Target
We are still a little short
but on the personal side, we are OK.
We are hoping for
funds to help the Chinese students that we have brought over to BCM and APTS.
3. For Tham Wan's
Appointment as the APTS President
The appointment has been confirmed but the job will be a very big challenge.
Please pray for wisdom, humility and courage.
This transition period needs to be more intentional . . . pray for support from
our colleagues.
4. For Tham Wan in his administrative
roles at APTS
This is probably the toughest part of our work. TW is now involved as Seminary
Advancement Director and as Interim Business Manager.
He is also the Chairman of the Moving-In and Decorating Committee for the new
building.
Pray for wisdom . . . divine wisdom . . . and courage to act . . .

1. For our
family
a.
Lemuel, Melanie & Mikayla:
God's protection and provision. Pray especially for Lemuel as he
contemplates his future minitry
b. Elroi's job requires a lot of traveling and late nights. Pray for
protection.
c. Ian writes for R.A.G.E., a weekly youth supplement to Star, a
Malaysian daily newspaper. Pray for God to give him wisdom.
2. For our ministry in
APTS
a. We are helping to find sponsorship for the 3 Chinese students who are
currently studying in APTS.
b. Tham Wan has committed himself to help out in the Prison Ministry, an outreach ministries of APTS on the third Sunday of Every month. Moon Tee will also will involved in the Public School Ministry on Monday.
3. For ministries in Baguio
a. Our "home" church in
Baguio,
Baguio Assembly City Church (BACC), is currently raising funds to rebuild the church
building which was condemned as
unfit for use since the 1990 earthquake. The cost of the first phase of the
new building is 10 million Pesos. Tham Wan is one of their advisors in their
fund-raising project.
b. Our Chinese Service, Baguio International Chinese
Church (BICC), in the BACC premise.
Pray for the growth of BICC. We want to see more Chinoys (Filipino Chinese)
coming to know the Lord and attend our service. We are also praying for a
church worker or intern-minister to assist us.
c. We will also be starting some ministry for the children of Baguio. It will
involve starting a drop-in center.
4. Pray for our ministry to
the China house churches
We are partnering with a
big house church group in China. This house group want to send their members for
further/higher training overseas. They are requesting us to help place their
leaders in Bible Colleges in Malaysia, Singapore, and Philippines. They are also
asking us to source for scholarships for these leaders. Pray that we will
be able to find financial support for them.
